On a sunny June afternoon in Waterbury, two love birds united to become one in witness of family and friends. For Karl and Trea, it all started in 2011 when Karl’s brother introduced them to each other and the rest was history. Karl surprised Trea on Christmas Day 2015 with a proposal for marriage, while the family was opening gifts.
This was my first time capturing a wedding at La Bella Vista, so it was exciting to for me to walk around and quickly identify locations to capture the newly weds. We had an interesting time capturing Trea’s wedding dress in the foyer by the lobby. In order to keep the dress up, we had to hang the dress on my light stand and my assistant Isaiah had to hide behind the dress and keep it from swinging side to side.
The wedding ceremony occurred outside, with a lovely view of the sunset. Both Karl and Trea were real cool and calm during their special day and savored their moments together. During the creative session, the interaction between Karl and Trea were amazing and it led to great portraits. See the rest of the photos from their amazing wedding here.
